Becoming better for ourselves should start with being better for other people

Some of the most destructive events on the planet have come from individual or mass apathy and a general lack of compassion. Let us recognize how much better off we would be if we all worked together and for each other, so that what mutual benefit naturally comes from the intent to serve.
